Seed is currently working closely with the twelve finalists of the Seed Awards, offering them support and advice on developing a strong and sustainable partnership, facilitating in-depth technical analysis of their projects, and providing assistance in securing financial support and long-term investment.
The five winners of the first Seed Awards will be selected by an international jury in March 2005 and presented at a ceremony at the 13th session of the UN’s Commission on Sustainable Development in New York in April. The winners will then receive a targeted package of on-the-ground support to help give each partnership every possibility of success.

The Seed Associate Partners Network is a growing network of national, regional or global organisations active in the sphere of partnerships for sustainable development.
Associate partners assist in outreach and delivery of the Seed Initiative on a regional or issue-specific basis and, where appropriate, play a role in providing services to Seed Award winners or assisting with the Seed Research and Learning Channel.
As the network develops, the aim is for it to become a vibrant community with the potential for any number of spin-off collaborations and initiatives, including playing a convening role to help new partnerships to form.
