The Call for Submissions for the Seed Awards was launched at a reception during the UN CSD meeting in New York on Tuesday 27th April. Around two hundred people participated in the high-spirited event which took place on the 23rd floor of the German Mission to the UN with the dramatic backdrop of the city at night.
Speakers included Minister Jürgen Trittin, German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Dr Klaus Töpfer, Executive Director of UNEP, Shoji Nishimoto, UNDP Assistant Administrator, Achim Steiner, IUCN Director General, Lord Holme, Chairman of Partnerships Central and Felix Dodds of Stakeholder Forum.
