Nicaragua’s ‘Solar Women’ Receive 2008 SEED Award in Managua

Managua. For Nicaraguan winner Lighting Up Hope and Communities, the 2008 SEED Awards events in Managua were an overwhelming success. Besides celebrating the partnership’s achievements and displaying the success of its model

for entrepreneurship, the event showcased the talent and commitment of the local community’s ‘Solar Women’ and triggered an enormous additional commitment from one partner, the National Engineering University of Nicaragua, following an inspirational visit to the Lighting Up Hope and Communities site.
