About Best Practices and Policy
SEED places strong focus on research and learning so as to increase the understanding of how innovative start-ups grow, which barriers they face, and their economic, social and environmental impact.
While tracking and connecting to SEED Winners and Awards applicants, SEED looks in detail at:
- the social, economic and environmental targets they set
- the extent and rate at which they meet those targets
- the support they need
- the barriers to their success
- and how initiatives like SEED can contribute to their growth.
These insights are then compiled and translated into specific policy messages. SEED ultimately aims to stimulate a more enabling framework for social and environmental entrepreneurs and therefore presents these messages to international forums and policy platforms as well as through its website and publications.
